About Tibi
Hello, I'm Tibor Fiák, but you can call me Tibi. I'm a professional guitarist, born in Hungary, October 27, 1972, to Barna Fiák and Erika Szunyog. At the early age of 12 I started playing the guitar. Initially I began playing Rock Music, then Blues stirred my interest. Later I played Jazz, and found it to be my passion, and my preferred style. While living in Hungary, I was also a Guitar Instructor for over 25 years, instilling my passion for Jazz into my students.
I've played for many bands in Hungary, mainly Jazz, and Blues Bands. I've also performed in many clubs, and festivals in Europe. When I came to the United States I traveled to Chicago, Illinois to continue pursuing my life long dream of performing live Jazz music. I am a serious musician, looking for serious musicians that are interested in playing Swing Bebop, Latin Jazz, Smooth Jazz, Fusion Jazz and Jazzy Blues.

My desire is to produce, and play my original music, as well as cover music, with professional bands in the studio and during live performances.

THE SOUND OF TIBOR FIÁK
In Hungary I played with the Step Time Band. Though, In my most recent years I have played in Gary, IN with
ST6 Studio Band (Funky Jazz). Afterwards, in Chicago,IL, I played with Organ Jazz Band (Swing Jazz).
I have also had the pleasure of playing with Michael Jackson's cousin, Keith Jackson.
Most recently, I've played with Will Miller & The Jazz Gang (Smooth Jazz), and the ST3 Standard Jazz Band in Gary, IN. I am currently open to working with serious professional bands as I endeavor to form a band of my own.
The musicians that have had a great influence on me are B. B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Robben Ford, Joe Pass, Wes Montgomery, George Benson, Pat Martino, and Chuck Loeb.
